November 1, 2007	Source: Aerograph November 2007 As you recall, on 9/11, Matthew Flocco and Edward Earhart were killed at the Pentagon, by a cowardly deed of terror. The NWSA has honored these two fine sailors in many ways. I would like to bring to the membership, some interesting information concerning AG1 Edward Earhart: The National Weather Service Office in Jackson Kentucky has an ongoing effort to collect money. It started a scholarship fund in 1997. After the events of 9/11, they changed the name to the Edward Earhart’s Memorial Scholarship Fund. Mr. Earhart came from Salt Lick Kentucky . The staff at the NWS office holds monthly luncheons and fund raising drives within its own ranks, to increase the Memorial. The fund provides scholarship money, helping local students improve their chances. If any readers of the Aerograph would like to help out the NOAA office in Jackson KY they may make contributions to the Earhart Memorial Scholarship fund.
