Update 3/4/09 from Bob Johnson, President NWSA SE

At this time we have the following as of last Monday:

Signed up at the hotel:                56
Hotel nights scheduled:            144
Rooms Taken                                  37

Not where would like to be but it is looking better and better.  We have at least 5 additional couples that have sent me the information but they are not on the list that the hotel provided.

We are down to about 11 weeks from the reunion and I still have faith that we will have a great reunion with a full house.

We are about to sign up the DJ for the dinner.
We just received our cups and they look great (we have enough for each person
that signs up for the reunion).
We got the shirts in for our working crew for the reunion.
We have our hats on order but we are keeping the order down to 50 because we don't think there are that many that will want a hat.  Our supply lines that we established can supply us with additional hats in a little over 24 hours.

I know that we still want to ensure that each person will have a chance to have an application, you can put our web site on yours and in the Aerograph and they can download the applications and information there.  The web site is:

Well, that is all for now.  If I think of anything else, I will let you know.

Subject: Aerograph, February, 2009

I wanted to get you an advance look at the Crowne Plaza Reservation Instructions for the reunion.  Remember, it is only $99 per day, Free Parking (a savings of $10 to $15 per day) if you are part of the reunion and a hotel guest, and if you would like to come early (up to 3 days) and stay late (up to 3 days) the rates remain the same.

Each hotel has a walk out balconies but not all have a view of the downtown area and river view.  Make sure you tell them what you want a room a city and river view because it is great to pick your view when you shop early.  Remember they are in limited supply.  And if you would like an upgraded room to a junior suite, that price is only $159.00 for our NWSA guest. These Jr. Suites normal run for $219.00 but with group rate, they will be only the $159. Just remember all rooms have a 13% (current rate) to be added to the room rate for the local and state taxes.
You can make reservations toll free 800-2-CROWNE or local (904-398-8800) or www.cpjacksonville.com and follow the instructions in the enclosed attachment. Remember your code in your attached instructions. More information concerning the hotel follows

Something additional: If you elect to rent a car, you can get a NWSA discount from AVIS and use the discount code (D005245). Remember; support our sponsors for the Reunion. Their phone number is: 1-800-525-7537 or local (airport in Jacksonville) 904-741-2327.
Next, we would like everyone to reach into your pocket on the next thing I mention. We need sponsors that will be buying ads in the Program for the Reunion. Business size card will run $10. If you have a small business, this is a good buy for it is a tax deduction. If you would like to purchase on 1/4 page that will be $20.
Half page $40 and full page is $80. NWSA SE purchased a full page ad in the program in WI and we are trying to get all groups or charters to do the same. NWSA SE did not receive any up front funds and it appears that it will be limited when we do receive any near the end of the year. Reason: The reunion being held in WI isn't until later in the month and we just hope that they have enough members show up in WI to make money to send too us.
Make sure that you save this information and I will be sending more as time passes.

Bob Johnson, President NWSA SE
