 Meeting in New Hampshire

Our long awaited annual meeting took place in Concord, New Hampshire on Sunday November 5th at the "Cat and Fiddle Restaurant".  Fifteen were present.  Fred Berg made the trip from Vermont and Earle Gaulzetti traveled from Massachusetts.  The rest of us: Gordon Driskell, Caroline Ewing (who won the 50/50 again), Bill and Liz Pettigrew, and John Pollock, came from their homes in Maine or New Hampshire.  Also present was a prospective new member, AGC Ed (Lee) Hetland, who is the boss at the NAS Brunswick Weather Office.  NASB expects to be open until 2011.

We had a short meeting, and we were very happy to have an active duty AG with us !!!!!  We were getting hungry so we ordered from the menu, and as usual the meals were great.

Many of us had stories and experiences to pass along.  We decided to alternate our once-a-year meetings between Maine and New Hampshire.  Our next meeting will be in Yarmouth Maine next November 2007.  We are still "hanging in there".  We will be represented at NWSA # 33 in Everett!  Until then, have a nice year..

The good weather of early April continued for our 12 noon meeting in Yarmouth, ME at the Downeast restaurant. Nine NWSA members were present and four others came with four of the members. Sue, the waitress, took our lunch orders and then we started on some business. President Bill Pettigrew, read a few email messages concerning NWSA and then annual dues were paid by all members. A 50/50 drawing then took place of which Gerry French was the winner but only took $20 of the $23 he was offered.  Our treasury is in good shape. The meals being served delayed other business.

After the very fine lunch, it was asked, due to the small attendance, do we desire to continue with our Northeasters Chapter? All members present said yes.  Three of the ones not in attendance had called and said they couldn’t make it to the April meeting. One other member was still out west and we hope to see him at thenext meeting. We again agreed that we didn’t have the ability to host #32. We are sorry about that. We have heard that the Potomac Chapter has found a site for #32.
Much thanks to them!

We have scheduled our next two meetings for this year.August 28 and November 13. The weather will be good on those days and we will still meet at the Yarmouth Downeast Restaurant. Here ends the report.
